Open Bypass Valve
Command Bypass OPEN.
Wait for Spiral
Case to fill.
STEP 4
Pressure Equalization
Is P_penstock - P_spiral < 1 Bar?
YES (Equalized) ↓
NO (Leak) → ABORT startup
STEP 5
Command MIV OPEN
Monitor Limit Switches.
Verify
physical arm movement.
STEP 6
Initiate Speed-No-Load (SNL)
Release Brakes.
PID ramps vanes to
Start position.
