THE HOLLOW TEST (ACOUSTIC)
PRIORITY: HIGHAcoustic verification is the primary method for detecting subsurface delamination in the equipment grout base.
SOLID SIGNATURE
High-frequency, sharp "ting" sound. Indicates 100% bond with the floor.
HOLLOW SIGNATURE
Low-frequency, dull "thud". Primary indicator of air pockets or shrinkage cracks.
MANDATORY PROTOCOL
- Tap systematically every 10cm.
- Mark delamination zones with chalk.
- Photograph for trend comparison.
